While pondering about making a concept album, I've been experimenting style-and-design-wise. This actually turned out pretty cool; I don't know If the album will be in the same style, but I think this is interesting enough to be it's own little demo.

And, yes, it rips off early she. (sounds a lot like Twilight RX, no?)

So I know this is an old track, but I've only just heard it. It's not ground-breaking or anything, standard progressive hau5 really, but I thought this was a great example of how ONE tiny element of a track can make it what it is. This one has a weird, pitched, wooden percussion hit. It happens every 2 bars, right after the 4th beat (after the 1-minute mark).

Imagine this track without that. It'd be totally forgettable. But because of that one little percussion hit, it's a really distinctive song. Personally I don't think that's a bad thing at all. This track hits my rhythm button, and I can groove to it all day.

What do you guys think of this "one distinctive sound" thing? I don't really mean a hook, because that implies something more substantial. I mean literally just a one-shot making the song what it is like this. I'd be interested to know what you doods think

My video card can't obviously handle things like After Effects, by the way.

This is a so-so horror game with a bit of a cult following, much like Clock Tower, but the soundtrack has all these weird glitchy tracks with vocal snippets, weird choppy beats,etc.
